TAXI WINS BUSINESS, LAUNCHES THREE CAMPAIGNS
By Adnews Staff
Taxi Advertising & Design has had a busy fall. The agency recently won the Chapters Inc. account without a competition. Taxi has been working on the business on a project basis since July. Until now, Chapters hired agencies on a project basis or handled its advertising in-house.
In addition, Taxi recently launched two campaigns for Clearnet Communications of Pickering, Ont. One campaign is for the company's PCS digital phone service. It uses TV, outdoor and print ads focusing on several Clearnet advantages such as unlimited weekend calling, free calls on your birthday and all inclusive packages. The second campaign is for Clearnet's MIKE service, which is a digital phone and a business tool. The campaign uses billboard, transit, newspaper and magazine ads. The MIKE phone can be used as a walkie talkie, as well as a phone, a pager and a fax.
The third campaign introduced by Taxi is for All Seating of Toronto, a manufacturer of stackable, brushed metal chairs. The campaign uses trade journals, collateral materials and trade shows.
