GENERAL MILLS MOVES INTO STUFFED TOY MARKET

Toronto-based General Mills Canada is bringing some of its mascots to life. The company launched a promotion this week for five of its cereals: HoneyNut Cheerios, Lucky Charms, Trix, Nestle Quik Cereal and Count Chocula. Under the deal, customers who purchase the cereals can collect two cereal box tokens to receive a Teenie Breakfast Pal stuffed toy. The toys are: the HoneyNut Cheerios bee, the Lucky Charms leprechaun, the Trix rabbit, the Nestle Quik bunny and the Count Chocula doll. The promotion is being supported using TV ads created by Cossette Communication-Marketing of Toronto. Strategic Objectives of Toronto is doing PR.
