TELE-DIRECT TELLS CONSUMERS TO GO STRAIGHT TO YELLOW PAGES

Tele-Direct of Toronto wants its Yellow Pages directory to be the first place consumers go to look for information. The company launched a Toronto-area TV campaign last week for the Yellow Pages that takes the viewer into a forest of flying birds, followed by a school of fish trying to find its ways through the forest, then into an aquarium. Finally, a yellow fish finds itself at the right time in the right place. The tagline for the ad is "Go straight to the source." The goal of the ad is to show consumers that they shouldn't waste their time looking at pamphlets and flyers delivered to their doors, or at local and community newspapers. They should go directly to their Yellow Pages directory. The ad was created by Marketel of Montreal.
