VIFF MOCKS HOLLYWOOD HYPE MACHINE

Vancouver-based Bryant, Fulton & Shee has created a series of movie trailers, newspaper ads and posters for the Vancouver International Film Festival which satirizes the advertising tactics of big Hollywood movies. The trailers juxtapose the emotional sentiment of international films with the superficial nature of North American movie marketing techniques, according to a release. This year's festival, themed "Same Planet, Different Worlds", runs September 25 to October 11 and will feature over 400 screenings of 275 films from 40 countries.
