DOUBLECLICK GAINS ANOTHER FIVE SITES

DoubleClick Canada of Toronto has added five Web sites to its network. The company will sell ad space on Macromedia Canada, Peachtree, AutoGuide.net, Warren Miller Entertainment's Ski the World and Lottery Buddy Web sites. Macromedia is a Web resource for multimedia developers, design professionals and Web enthusiasts. Peachtree is a grocery shopping Web site operating in the greater Toronto area, Vancouver, Vancouver Island, Winnipeg, Edmonton, rural Manitoba and North Bay, Ont. Soon, it will serve St. John's, Ottawa and Montreal. The site looks like a real store with aisles, shopping carts and groceries. Peachtree will deliver the groceries ordered via its Web site. In addition, the site provides food information for families, free access to recipes, food nutrition news and online nutritionists. AutoGuide.net provides links to automotive resources. Each link includes a description of the site, while some include site reviews and ratings. Ski the World is an entertainment and sports site for skiing, snowboard and extreme sports enthusiasts. The site features sneak previews of films, behind the scenes stories about filming over the years, as well as gear and resort reviews, a film schedule for Canada and a snow report section so users can check out snow conditions on their favorite mountain. Lottery Buddy allows players to check their lottery numbers by region or by lottery. Other sites DoubleClick Canada represents include AltaVista Canada, Shift Online, Big Charts Canada, TSNSCOUT and La Toile du Quebec. DoubleClick Canada is a subsidiary of DoubleClick Inc. of New York. The Canadian operations were established in October 1997, maintaining a Toronto and Montreal office.
