PUROLATOR USES EMPLOYEES IN LATEST CAMPAIGN
By Adnews Staff
Purolator Courier of Mississauga, Ont. is using the television and its employees to promote its Automated Shipping Software. The company launched a TV campaign this week that uses 30-second English and French language spots, as well as a 60-second English language commercial. The 60-second spot features a toll-free number viewers could call to receive the supplies and the software, as well as an offer for one month of free shipping. The TV commercials show a cat jumping on to a deserted reception desk. While stalking a computer mouse, the cat begins to paw wildly. "Pick up" icons flash on the monitor and waybills begin printing. Moments later the receptionist returns to find the waiting area filled with Purolator couriers. The message is that Purolator's Automated Shipping Software is easy to use. Purolator's employees will support this message by encouraging customers to ship with the software. They will be recognized for their efforts with points that they can redeem for merchandise from an employee rewards catalogue. The campaign was created by Doner Canada of Toronto. Purolator's Automated Software allows customers to order a pick up, track shipments, complete bills of lading and create invoices for U.S. shipments.
