CTV TO AIR SPORTS CHANNEL ON SHAW CABLE

The CTV Television Network has signed a deal with Shaw Communications of Calgary to air CTV Sportsnet on Shaw cable systems. The specialty channel will also be available on Rogers Cablesystems. CTV Sportsnet is a regional sports specialty channel catering to viewers in four regions: Pacific, West, Ontario and East. The all-sports channel will air Oct. 9, offering regional sports and news coverage including NHL hockey games, NBA basketball games, figure skating, English Premier League soccer and a variety of Canadian and international sports events.
