By Adnews Staff
Compaq Computer Corporation says its new Presario computers unveiled this week feature "breakthroughs in audio and video technology" to give highly improved pictures and sound. They also have SpeechMail voice recognition which allows a user to call up e-mail with a spoken command. A television campaign from the U.S.-based computer maker, which focuses on the impact computers have had on people's lives, breaks in November. A print campaign breaks mid-October, with another to follow at Christmas time. Compaq ads are created by the New York office of Ammirati & Puris and adapted for Canada by the agency's Toronto office. The new Presario 7100 series consists of the low-cost machines for families and home offices, the 5500 series has "all-in-one" models and the 9500 is the "premier line for more sophisticated users."
