NEVADA BOB'S TO EXPAND IN WASHINGTON

Nevada Bob's of Calgary has continued its expansion plans, buying three franchise outlets in Washington State. The Nevada Bob's stores are located in Bellingham, Seattle and Spokane. The company plans to open up to 10 more stores in the state in the next 18 months. In addition, Nevada Bob's has entered the on-course golf retailing business with an agreement to operate a 4,000 square-foot pro shop at a Washington golf course. Since late last year, Nevada Bob's bought the master franchise for all of its stores in eastern Canada. The move put another 22 outlets under the golf retailer's belt. The company also operates 25 outlets in Western Canada. Advertising for the company is handled by freelancers. In addition, Nevada Bob's announced an expansion plan last year that would see up to 100 stores across Canada in the next five years. It is also spending $2 million on expansion and renovations.
