SOUTHEX ADDS TWO SHOWS IN SOUTHERN ONTARIO

Toronto-based Southex Exhibitions has added two consumer trade shows to its portfolio. The company has bought the Kitchener and Hamilton Home shows from Ontario Marketing Productions Ltd. With the addition of the new shows, Southex will produce seven shows in the Southern Ontario market. It already produces three shows in the Toronto region: The Fall Home Show, The Metro Home Show and the National Home Show. In addition it organizes two Ottawa shows: The Ottawa Spring Home Show and the Ottawa Fall Home Show. The Kitchener Home Show will run from Feb. 19 to 21, 1999, while the Hamilton Home Show will be held from March 5 to 7. Southex operates 95 shows in 49 cities including resource, gift and industrial trade shows, craft, boat, sportsman and 47 home and garden consumer shows.
