DRUG TO HELP CANADIANS LOOK YOUNGER
By Adnews Staff
Ferrosan of Denmark brought its anti-aging skin cream to the Canadian market this week. Called Imedeen, the drug is available in tablet form and is made from natural ingredients found in the sea. Ferrosan says Imedeen eases the effects of the sun on skin by reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Imedeen will be sold in Canada through a 1-800 number. The company chose not to sell the drug at the retail level because consumers can receive more information about Imedeen through the toll-free number, Ferrosan marketing and international operations vice-president Svend Andersen told Adnews yesterday. Imedeen will be distributed and marketed in Canada by Nordic Selfcare Institute of Toronto. It will be promoted using newspaper and magazine ads created by EuroRSCG of Europe, while Poirier & Brightling of Toronto will localize the ads for the Canadian market. Direct mail will also be used.
