CIBC GOES PLATINUM

The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce introduced its second CIBC Dividend credit card this week. Called CIBC Dividend Platinum, the card will offer a dividend of up to 2% on all purchases made with it. The rewards will be invested into CIBC financial services such as RRSPs and GICs, or they will be applied to current expenses. In addition, the CIBC Dividend Platinum card will offer a credit limit of up to $50,000, free travel medical insurance and free car rental insurance. The card will be promoted using ads in daily newspapers, direct mail and in-branch materials. Additional marketing plans are slated for the fall. Advertising for CIBC is created by Padulo Integrated of Toronto. Last month, CIBC introduced its CIBC Dividend credit card. It offers customers a dividend of up to 1% of all purchases made with it to be invested into CIBC financial services.
