ALLIANCE SEARCHES FOR CANADA'S BEST CAREGIVERS
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based Allianz Canada introduced its latest initiative this week in its program to discuss issues affecting seniors and caregivers. The insurance company launched a National Caregiving Awards program to recognize individuals who have demonstrated exceptional caregiving. Canadians can nominate caregivers in the various regions of Canada. Each regional winner will receive $1,000, while the Canadian Caregiver of the Year will receive $10,000. The program will be promoted using magazine ads and PR done by Ellis Teichman Communications of Toronto. The winners will be announced in October. Last February, Allianz funded a live and interactive TV program called Caregiving with June Callwood.
