LCBO GETS READY FOR BBQ SEASON

The Liquor Control Board of Ontario is gearing up for summer with the launch of its two-month Summer Grill promotion which will feature wines, spirits and beers to complement the season. During the promotion, which began this week, LCBO outlets will feature a barbecue planner with recipes and recommendations for food and drink pairings, as well as tips on entertaining outdoors. In addition, there will be an in-store contest for a barbecue package, while selected outlets will sell a CD of Motown and soul music. One dollar from every CD sale will be donated to The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada. The promotion will be supported using radio and print ads in major urban centres. The ads will be created by Communiqué of Toronto. Point-of-sale material will also be used. It will be created by Mental Art of Toronto.
