BANFF BREWERY MOVES INTO ONTARIO

Calgary-based Banff Brewery Corp. brought its Cutthroat Ale brand of beer to the Ontario market earlier this month. The brew is available at 200 liquor stores and will be promoted at trade shows and outdoor shows. In addition, Banff will participate in the Liquor Control Board of Ontario's merchandising program. Cutthroat Ale is brewed in support of Trout Unlimited Canada, an organization dedicated to trout conservation efforts. A portion of the sales of Cutthroat will be donated to the group. Banff Brewery has been in operation for three years and specializes in German ales and lagers. In addition to distribution in Alberta and now Ontario, Banff exports product into Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Montana and California.
