ENVIRONICS COMMUNICATIONS PICKS UP NEW BUSINESS
By Adnews Staff
Xpedite Systems Inc. has hired Toronto-based public relations firm, Environics Communications, to handle their publicity. The account was won out of Environics Stanford, Connecticut office in March. Five other agencies were involved in the competitive pitch, however, Environics was chosen because of their understanding of Xpedite's business, markets and technology, Kathleen Peters said. One of the industries Environics will be communicating Xpedite's message to is the public relations area. Xpedite is a provider of information distribution technology - public relations firms have been one of their major customers. According to a release, Environics will also serve as a beta tester for new products Xpedite plans to release to the market. "Because Environics has become expert at electronic commerce PR, we're also very excited about generating publicity for Xpedite's many electronic document distribution services," senior vice president of Environics, Bob Pickard said. The Xpedite account will be handled out of the Toronto office after being handled out of the Stanford office for the past few months. GS Schwartz & Company previously handled the Xpedite public relations.
