SODISCO-HOWDEN EXPANDS AIR MILES REWARD PROGRAM

Sodisco-Howden of Montreal will expand its involvement in The Loyalty Group's Air Miles reward program next month to the Atlantic provinces. The company has offered Air Miles rewards at its Western Canadian locations since last June. Under the deal for both Western and Atlantic Canada, consumers will receive one travel mile for every $10 spent a Pro Hardware, Do-It centres and Novico outlets, which are owned by Sodisco-Howden. The program will be supported using flyers and Sodisco catalogues, which are created in-house. The Air Miles reward program was launched five years ago. Currently, over 6.2 million households are enrolled in the program and over 40,000 rewards are redeemed monthly. Other sponsors of the program include IGA, Omni, Pharmasave, Bank of Montreal, The Bay, Shell Canada and American Express Cards.
