MINT LOOKING FOR COIN DESIGNS

The Royal Canadian Mint is looking to Canadians to design the 1999 and year 2000 25-cent coins. The organization has launched a contest inviting Canadians to submit designs for the coins. Designs will be accepted until Aug. 31 for the 1999 coins and until June 30, 1999 for the year 2000 coins. The contest will be supported by PR, as well as newspaper and radio ads done by Cohn & Wolfe of Toronto. In addition, Canada Post will deliver contest entry forms to every household in Canada. There will be 12 designs selected for the 1999 coins and 12 for the year 2000 coins.
