COSMAIR CHANGES AGENCY LINE UP

Cosmair Canada of Montreal has made some changes to its account management to align itself with other countries. The company will now split most of its account between Publicis BCP and Marketel, both of Montreal. Optimedia Canada of Toronto will handle the media portion of the account, while Taxi Advertising & Design of Montreal will continue to work on Cosmair's Ombrelle brand. Publicis ends up the big winner, adding nine brands to its Cosmair portfolio. The agency will handle advertising for: Lancome, Biotherm and Vichy, as well as perfume brands by Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani, Paloma Picaso, Cacharel, Guy Laroche and Lanvin. All of these products were previously handled by Cossette Communication-Marketing of Montreal. Publicis BCP already creates ads for L'Oreal Professional, Redken, L'Oreal Plenitude, L'Oreal Kids and Laboratoires Garnier products. Marketel will continue to handle Maybelline and Natural Sea Beauty, as well as L'Oreal's Preference, Excellence, Casting, Studio Line, Vive brands and L'Oreal cosmetics.
