NINTENDO DEVELOPS GAMES WITH NBA GREAT

Japan-based Nintendo Co. Ltd. has joined forces with NBA basketball star Kobe Bryant to put his name on a series of games titles for the company. The first title available will be Kobe Bryant's NBA Courtside, which will be available in North America by the end of April. The game will play much like a real NBA game, with users being able to set picks and change hands on the dribble. The face of each NBA player has been scanned and mapped onto his game character. Detailed statistical profiles will be given for each player as well. In Canada, Leo Burnett Co. of Chicago will create ads for the game, while its Toronto office will handle media buying. Kobe Bryant plays for the Los Angeles Lakers and became the youngest person every to play in an NBA game last year. He is also the youngest player to ever to play in an NBA All-Star game.
