FORD TO LAUNCH SAFETY CAMPAIGN

Children’s Television Workshop and Ford of Canada have teamed up to promote safe seating in Canada. The duo will soon launch print and TV public service announcements that will promote such things as the proper and consistent use of safety belts and child seats. In addition, Ford TV commercials for its Windstar minivan will be tagged with safety messages, and the car maker will be the exclusive sponsor of the Safe Places, Safe Kids magazine. It will be distributed through Ford and Lincoln-Mercury dealerships, as well as through auto shows. The magazine is published by CTW. Showroom and auto show displays will also promote safe seating. The PSA campaign was created in-house by CTW and U.S.-based Ford Corp., which has been promoting safe seating with CTW for a year.
