MT&T OFFERS LOWER-COST OVERSEAS CALLS

MT&T of Halifax, N.S. reduced the costs of its overseas calling this week by up to 20%. In addition, members of its RealTime Saving plan will receive an extra 25% discount on overseas calls. MT&T has also changed its calling periods, offering two instead of three. Calling periods are now from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. The calling periods for European calls are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 10 a.m. The discounts and the adjusted calling periods will be promoted using direct mail done by Tamarack Creek Communications of Dunvegan, Ont. Last October, MT&T began offering a 13-cents-a-minute long-distance calling plan for calls in North America. MT&T is a member of the Stentor group of companies
