Randy Fuerst has joined Intergold Inc. of Calgary as general manager. Most recently he was operations director at Jostens Canada of Sherbrooke, Que. Intergold provides recognition services for the corporate, school and championship markets. It has recently signed up with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to acquire Canadian licensing rights for all precious metal products including pins, cufflinks, charms and pendants. Kevin Francis has been promoted from senior vice-president and chief operating officer at Xerox Canada to chairman, president and CEO. The move follows an announcement that will see former Xerox Canada president Diane McGarry become corporate officer for U.S.-based Xerox Corp., with worldwide responsibility as vice-president and general manager of the color business unit for the company's Office Document Products Group. Barbara Porter Mills is now at Initiative Media as group manager working on the Johnson & Johnson and Subway accounts. Most recently she was associate media director at J. Walter Thompson of Toronto. Initiative is a division of MacLaren McCann of Toronto. Tina Zania has moved up from senior account director to group account director on the General Motors business at MacLaren McCann. Peter Ciceri has joined Compaq Canada of Richmond Hill, Ont. as president. Most recently he was vice-president and managing director of Tandem Asia Pacific Ltd.
MC Direct's Toronto office has made some changes at the office. Peggy Clifford has been promoted from production director to creative and production vice-president at the agency. Lori Hatch has moved up from account manager to senior account manager.
