ASIAN AGENCIES SET UP NETWORK

A group of Asian advertising agencies are joining forces to compete against multinational firms. The agencies have formed a holding company called Asia Link, with membership stretching from India to Japan. The agencies fear they will lose local clients to large multinational firms if they continue to stand alone, because individually they have difficulty crossing borders. The agencies involved are: Storm Advertising of Hong Kong, Singapore's Eureka Advertising, Thailand's Spa Advertising, Dong Bang Communications of South Korea, Midlink of Pakistan, Taiwan's Target Advertising, Strategy Powerhouse of Malaysia, Zenith in Sri Lanka, Arms Communications of New Delhi, Basic Advertising of Manila and Japan's Asian Advertisers.
