Northern Telecom has realigned its North American customer premise equipment sales force to increase its focus on customers and service. Dallas-based William Conner has been appointed to the new position of sales and marketing vice-president for Nortel's Multimedia Communication Systems. Previously, he was vice-president of Enterprise Network Solutions. His responsibilities encompass the global accounts sales team, Nortel Communications Systems, sales support for Nortel's affiliated distributors, and Nortel Federal Systems. These groups cover the entire Nortel portfolio including Magellan data and broadband multimedia networking products, Meridian private branch exchanges, Norstar key systems, Companion wireless communications systems, and a variety of business applications that address call centre, messaging and computer telephony integration.
