NEW SOFTWARE WILL OFFER REAL-TIME SERVICE ON INTERNET
By Adnews Staff
Balisoft Technologies Inc. of Indian Wells, California will introduce a program by the end of the month that will give businesses real-time contact with their customers over the Internet. The company hasn't decided yet how Canadian advertising for the product will be handled. Currently, it is in the midst of an agency competition in the U.S. Balisoft will decide by the end of next week if it will use a U.S. agency for North American advertising, or if it will hire a separate agency to handle Canadian advertising. Benchmark Communications of Toronto is doing Canadian PR. The software, called LiveContact, is a customer service application that gives businesses of any size the opportunity to interact with consumers while they are viewing the company's Web site. Consumers can chat with a customer service representative via text, voice or visual encounters. LiveContact also includes a brochure, which will allow the vendor to push specific information to the customer such as a data sheet or order form.
