ROGERS TO OFFER PAY-PER-VIEW FOOTBALL CHANNEL

Toronto-based Rogers Communications has struck a deal with U.S.-based NFL Enterprises L.P. to bring NFL Sunday Ticket to cable television subscribers in Canada beginning next fall. NFL Sunday Ticket is a pay-per-view subscription package offering up to 13 games every Sunday afternoon. The package will be available only on a full-season premium subscription basis. All FOX and NBC Sunday afternoon regular season games will be included in the package. To promote NFL Sunday Ticket, Rogers will offer a sneak preview of the program this weekend. The sneak preview offer will be promoted over the weekend using print ads and a TV commercial. When the service comes to Canada next September a more extensive ad campaign will be launched.
