MEDICAL INFORMATION TV PROGRAM TO AIR IN HOSPITALS

Video Corporate Report of Toronto will launch a television-style patient information program next spring in hospital waiting rooms, clinics and doctors' waiting rooms. TV screens will be set up for organizations who subscribe. Each program on the screen will feature twenty separate wellness-related segments covering topics such as nutritional tips, exercise, prevention of disease and taking better care of yourself and those around you. Advertising will be accepted on the program. Companies can purchase space before, during and after programs. The sponsor's name and the segment's message will be integrated. For example, a breast cancer segment could be sponsored by Revlon, which has raised money for the disease. Ads for Fuji film or Hallmark Cards could be linked to a piece on caregiving because their products produce memories. Topics for the segments will be selected in consultation with a medical advisory board combined with sponsor input. Video Corporate Report says the program will have an initial audience of 500,000 viewers per month.
