MC COMMUNICATION SCORES ANOTHER TWO
By Adnews Staff
Marketing Communication Inc. of London, Ont. is on a roll. The agency will launch a U.S. campaign next spring for Alcan Cable of Atlanta, Georgia. The agency won the business in November without a competition. It has been handling Canadian advertising for Alcan for four years. Until now, Alcan used several U.S. agencies, but decided to consolidate its North American advertising with Marketing Communication because it believes it is well-known in Canada because of its advertising and Alcan wants the same effect in the U.S., client services vice-president Tony Mazzotta told Adnews yesterday. Previously, Alcan did little U.S. advertising.
Marketing Communication will launch a Canadian print campaign for Oracle The Assistance Group of London, Ont. to promote its outbound telemarketing service. The company launched a U.S. campaign earlier this month. Oracle also wants to promote the service using other venues such as trade shows. The company is best known for its inbound telemarketing services for major corporations such as roadside assistance for auto makers, but decided to offer an outbound service to expand its market. Marketing Communication won the business earlier this fall without a competition. The agency was in discussions with Oracle to use its inbound service for another client.
Marketing Communication was also recently handed the James Richardson International account. The four core businesses of the Winnipeg-based company are grain marketing, seed, fertilizer and crop protection products.
