CHILDRENS' MARKETING CONFERENCE

The Institute for International Research will host a conference in Toronto from Feb. 25 to 27 focusing on marketing strategies for the Canadian youth consumer market. Attendees will learn how to capitalize on the trends and needs of tweens and teens, develop brand loyalty and create long-term brands and allocate advertising dollars. Speakers at the event will be Binney & Smith Canada business development manager Peter Sgromo, Ogilvy & Mather planning and research director and senior partner Gene DelVecchio and Children's Market Research Inc. president Selina Guber. Interactive panel sessions will identify traditional and non-traditional approaches to the youth market, show attendees how to create ethical win-win initiatives with the educational system and balance marketing with social responsibility of caring for children and youth.
