CLEARNET ENHANCES U.S. COVERAGE

Clearnet Commuinications Inc. of Pickering, Ont. will expand its U.S. roaming service next month and will offer automatic billing for the service beginning next year. The company announced a reciprocal roaming agreement with PrimeCo. Personal Communications L.P. of Dallas to provide PCS service to Clearnet customers in 20 U.S. cities including, Chicago, five Florida cities, Norfold and Richmond, Virginia, Green Bay and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Mobile Alabama, New Orleans, Astin, Dallas, For worth, Houston and Asn Antonio, Texas, as well as Honolulu and Maui, Hawaii. In addition, customers who use the company's roaming service will automatically be billed on their credit card. Currently, customers have to bill the credit card themselves. Clearnet also has roaming areements with WirelessNorth of Minnesota, offering service in most of the U.S. midwestern region and Sprint PCS of Kansas City, Missouri, which has licensed PCS coerage in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Advertising plans for the roaming service are still being planned. Taxi Advertising & Design of Toronto creates ads for Clearnet, while Media Experts of Montreal handles media buying.
