EDUC'ALCOOL PROMOTES MODERATE HOLIDAY CHEERING
By Adnews Staff
Educ'alcool of Montreal has found a way for Quebecers to send Christmas cards and encourage them to drink moderately over the holiday season. The organization has launched free greeting cards around the province, each one bearing an appropriate message of moderation for this time of year. More than 300,000 cards have been distributed to 1,400 locations such as restaurants, cafes, bars, community centres, colleges, universities, boutiques, bookstores, video stores and liquor outlets. The card features an illustration of a Christmas tree ball reflecting the image of young adults drinking a toast to the New Year. The message of moderation is on the back. The card distribution is supported by a poster campaign. The cards and posters were created by Communications bleu blanc rouge of Montreal. Educ'alcool ran a similar campaign during the holiday season last year. At that time, nearly 275,000 cards were snapped up in less than four weeks. Educ'alcool is a non-profit organization that promotes a responsible attitude towards drinking.
