NEVADA BOBS RENOVATES AND EXPANDS
By Adnews Staff
Nevada Bob's Canada of Calgary opened its renovated store late last month in Calgary, and plans to buy 19 franchised stores in Eastern Canada and the master franchise for all of Canada east of Manitoba. The newly designed Calgary outlet features an expanded and departmentalized selection of golf equipment, a selection of fashions and accessories, as well as an in-store practice area where customers can try out clubs in driving, putting and sand trap environments. The company plans to buy the franchised outlets because it believes the company will operate more efficiently. Nevada Bob's plans to spend $3 million on renovating the current stores. The retailer also says it wants to more than double its network of 24 stores in the next five years, bringing its total number of stores to 80 to 100 outlets. Advertising for Nevada Bob's is done by freelancers.
