COMPAQ PROMOTES SERVERS

Compaq Computer Corp. launched a North American print campaign this week to promote its Proliant 6500 and 7000 servers. The headline on the ad reads, "Just What Every Company Needs, A Workaholic With A Bad Case Of Insomnia." The visual is of an office building late at night with only one office light on. The ad shows a close-up of a server in the office. The copy then focuses on the performance and availablility of the servers in business applications and environments. The ad will run nationally in business newspapers into the first quarter of next year. The ad was created by Ammirati & Puris/Lintas of New York. The agency's Toronto office handled the Canadian media buy.
