HP INTRODUCES NEW OMNIBOOK FOR CORPORATIONS
By Adnews Staff
U.S.-based Hewlett-Packard Co. introduced a new notebook computer this week to the worldwide market. Called the OmniBook 3000, the machine is geared to mobile professionals in medium to large-sized corporations. It weighs just over six pounds, has 2.1 or 4.0 gigabyte hard drives and a 13.3-inch viewable screen that HP says delivers true-to-life color presentations and graphics. In Canada, the computer is being promoted through HP's sales force because the 3000 is geared to corporations, not individual consumers. Canadian advertising for HP is done by Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising of Toronto.
