NBA USES REGULAR KIDS IN TV CAMPAIGN

NBA Canada of Toronto is promoting new sports apparel in a TV campaign that uses kids around town playing basketball. The commercial shoots centre around an NBA-branded truck that drove up announced to outdoor and indoor courts. The truck featured a sound system, NBA game footage on video and an interior designed to look like a locker room packed with samples of new NBA apparel. Players were welcomed aboard to check out the merchandise and test it out on court. Camera operators then filmed the basketball players on court. Kids on the sidelines were asked for their reactions to the merchandise. The resulting footage was compiled into five TV commercials that will air during NBA programming on CTV, TSN and YTV. The campaign was created by Publicis*BCP of Montreal. The clothing is made by Champion, Nike and Starter.
