COMPAQ TOUTS PRESARIO LINE

U.S.-based Compaq Computer Corp. is promoting its Presario line of computers in its latest North American TV campaign that began this week. One ad features a couple using their Presario notebook computer out on their condominium patio and finding out they received a tax refund. Another features the creative imaging centre technology of the Presario by showing how a young couple is able to share the ultrasound of their soon-to-be-born baby with their parents in another part of the world. The third commercial features a young boy using the Internet access button to communicate with his friend OKPIC who his mother believes is fictitious. The patio and Internet commercials were created by Ammirati & Puris/Lintas of New York. The ultrasound spot was created in Latin America. In Canada, Ammirati's Toronto office localized the ads and did the Canadian media buy.
