ROYAL BANK GOES AUDIO
By Adnews Staff
The Royal Bank of Canada has enhanced its banking machine services. The company introduced its first audio banking machine last week in Ottawa. The machine provides service for people who are blind, partially sighted or for those who prefer doing their banking transactions via an interactive voice system. The audio machines will be installed in 12 locations across Canada by next spring. An audio banking machine orientation package will be provided to customers. It will describe the machine's capabilities, instructions for operating and a personal headset for access to the voice system. The machines will be promoted using brochures and posters created in-house. Royal Bank also has other services for people who are visually impaired including cheque writing guides, large print cheques, Braille statements, as well as services on audio cassette and computer diskettes.
