MICROSOFT RUNS SMALL BUSINESS CONTEST

Microsoft Canada is targeting small businesses in a contest which began this week. To enter the contest participants send in their personal stories of how they would use technology to set their business apart from the crowd. The grand prize includes home office furniture provided by LINKWORKS, a fully-loaded IPC Pentium computer, a Hewlett-Packard color printer and a suite of Microsoft Press books. The second prize includes a Microsoft software suite annuity, enabling the user to stay current with Microsoft software by receiving free upgrades for two years, Microsoft Press books, a leather briefcase and a Sony microcassette recorder. The third place winner will receive Microsoft software and Microsoft Press books. The contest is being promoted on the software company's Web site at <http://www.microsoft.com/Canada/smallbiz>.
