BENSIMON CATCHES BLUE JAYS

Bensimon*Byrne*D'Arcy, Masius, Benton & Bowles of Toronto hit a homerun with The Toronto Blue Jays earlier this month. The agency won the major league baseball team's ad account earlier this month after a review with four other agencies. The incumbent on the business was The Stanford Agency of Toronto, which ceased operations on Sept. 1. Bensimon was chosen because of its reputation and its commitment to have senior executives directly involved in the account, Blue Jays spokesperson Paul Markle told Adnews last week. Bensimon will be involved in launching a campaign later this year to promote season ticket sales. It will launch a campaign for the 1998 season next year.
