MICROSOFT DELAYS LAUNCH
By Adnews Staff
U.S.-based Microsoft Corp. has delayed the launch of the next generation of its Windows software. Called Windows 98, the software will be available some time next spring. Initially, it was supposed to be introduced before the end of March. The program is being delayed so testers can work out some of the bugs in the software. In addition, testers and customers says they want the upgrade combined with an upgrade of an older version of Windows. The new version will blend Internet, radio, television and other media into personal computers. Microsoft says it will also be easier to use. In Canada, The Communiqué Group creates advertising for Microsoft, while Media Buying Services does media buying and Hill & Knowlton does PR. All agencies are based in Toronto.
