ROYAL BANK ENTERS INTERNET GAME

The Royal Bank of Canada has teamed up with AT&T Canada Long Distance Services to offer Internet access to its more than 400,000 business customers. Under the deal, the service packages will be offered to Royal Bank customers through the AT&T Canada LDS WorldNet Internet service and will include round-the-clock telephone support. Users will be able to dial up the service from over 50 local calling areas across Canada. Package prices will include unlimited Internet access time, the ability to host content sites and register domain names, as well as multiple e-mail addresses. Advertising for the Royal Bank is done by Mongeau Bacon & Chen and Allard Communications, both of Montreal, as well as by Wunderman Cato Johnson, MacLaren McCann and Roche, Macaulay & Partners Advertising, all of Toronto.
