FOUR BATTLE FOR A&W BUSINESS

Four agencies are vying for the Vancouver-based A&W Food Services account. They are: Young & Rubicam and The Communique Group, both of Toronto, as well as Bryant, Fulton & Shee of Vancouver and incumbent BBDO Canada's Vancouver office. A decision is expected in mid-October. A&W spent $1.7 million on advertising last year, according to ACNielsen of Markham, Ont.
