PRODUCTION PARTNERS GO MOBILE

WIC Mobile Production and Unitel Video Canada Inc. have formed an alliance to provide mobile production facilities to clients anywhere in Canada. WIC Mobile Production itself has only recently been formed out of the consolidation of the mobile production services operated by the various WIC Television Ltd.-owned stations. Reg McGuire, former executive vice-president and general manager of ONtv, has been tapped to fill the position of executive director of this new division. Montreal-based Unitel is headed by vice-president and general manager Brian Harty. Together the partners will operate 17 mobile production units based in Montreal, Toronto/Hamilton, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver. "WIC Mobile Production and Unitel Video Canada have similar clients and methods of operation," said McGuire. "We have worked together in the past, complement each other's styles and are focused on client service. Clearly this partnership is a good fit."
