Gordon Munroe has been appointed executive vice-president and managing director of BBDO Vancouver. Previously he was vice-president of marketing at Toronto-based Vincor. He has also put in service with Nabisco, A&W, Alberta Distillers and McCann Erickson. He replaces Patrick McDougall, who is moving to the position of president of NetStar Sales. ...Sue Good has been named strategic partner manager at Compaq Canada Inc. Good joined Compaq recently after ten years of sales and technical marketing gigs split between Minicom Data and Novell Canada Inc. ...Derrick Cho is now interactive communications director at Toronto-based Russell Inc., a brand consulting and design company. Cho's last job was manager of new media at The Globe and Mail, where he created and implemented several voice, fax-back, CD-ROM and Internet programs. He is also co-founder of the Internet Advertising Bureau of Canada. ...Rick Doyon has been appointed to the board of directors of the Ottawa-based Canadian Advanced Technology Association. Doyon also holds the position of managing partner at technology-oriented public relations agency High Road Communications. He will assist CATA with the PR side of its two principle endeavors: advocating the elimination of barriers to competition in the high-tech sector, and helping member firms come up with effective marketing programs.
