NINTENDO TOURS CAMPUSES

Nintendo of Canada Ltd., based in Richmond, B.C., will be making the rounds of 13 university campuses in Ontario and Quebec this month, trying to convince bright-eyed young students that what they really need while attending an institution for higher learning is a killer video game system. Nintendo game councellors will be cruising campus orientation activities between September 3 and 26 in a custom van outfitted with 10 Nintendo 64 game systems. The tour is mainly in support of Nintendo's new game GoldenEye, based on the James Bond movie of the same name. "GoldenEye is perfect for university students because they are the right age to remember the Bond films and recognize the glamour of the James Bond character," said Nintendo Canada's director of communications, Ron Bertram. "GoldenEye is our most recent release and it has been a major hit, so we wanted university students to be among the first to play it."
