CD-ROM HELPS GRADS FIND JOBS

Lasso Communications of Toronto is targeting graduating students with a CD-ROM that offers tips on their career search. Called CareerWizard, the CD-ROM shows students how to choose the job they want, what companies are looking for, the interview, time management pointers, survival techniques and recruitment information from sponsoring companies. Companies, such as Dofasco and KPMG, are using the CD-ROM to recruit students, while America Online and Acco/Daytimer are promoting their products and services on the product. Other sponsoring companies include McGraw-Hill Ryerson, Nortel, Drake and Lanacom. CareerWizard will be bundled with selected textbooks in university bookstores. A total of 30,000 will be available. The CD-ROM will be available in French and English next year.
