GROCERY SHOWCASE TRADE SHOW LOOKING FOR SPONSORS

The Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers is looking for sponsors for its Grocery Showcase Canada '97 trade show being held in Toronto from Oct. 26 to 28. Sponsorship packages range in price from $750 to $50,000. There will be over 600 exhibitors at the show. Event highlights include: a fully operational bakery and front-end interactive pavilions designed to familiarize retailers with techniques to improve sales in the deli/prepared foods departments, re-creations of award-winning merchandising displays, tours to innovative grocery stores, a town hall style face-off between consumers, media and industry executives. Guest speakers include George Weston executive vice-president David Williams, author David Foot, retail consultant Tom Winninger and Olympic gold medalist Marnie McBean. CGIF is a non-profit trade association founded in 1962 to further the interests of Canada's independent and franchised grocery stores.
