CCAMMA SEMINAR

The Chinese Canadian Advertising, Marketing & Media Association will host a luncheon seminar in Toronto on Aug. 14 focusing on intellectual property. The event will discuss what agencies, media and clients should know about advertising trademark and copyright. The keynote speaker will be lawyer Janet Fuhrer, partner at Fraser & Beatty Barristers and Solicitors. She will give an overview of the law on comparative advertising in Canada involving trademarks. She will also discuss copyright traps and pitfalls, including highlights of the changes to copyright law in Canada with the enhancement of Bill C-32 last March.
