MCDONALD'S SUED OVER SALMON BURGERS
By Adnews Staff
McDonald's found itself in hot water recently in Norway after four people filed lawsuits against the chain claiming the restaurant's salmon fillet burger caused them food poisoning. McDonald's has confirmed that the food poisoning was caused by a "corrupted" consignment of salmon fillets delivered by a Norwegian fish firm. One claim stated that the salmon fillet burger, called the McLaks, tasted very good at first, but after a few minutes the claimant's mouth and throat became numb and he experienced internal spasms. McDonald's launched the McLaks in June. It has been serving salmon burgers in Norway since the 1970s, but this is the chain's first fish burger made only of salmon fillets.
